Be a Responsible Pet Owner in the Richwood Community

As pet owners, we have a shared responsibility to ensure our pets are happy, healthy, and safe. The Richwood Homeowners Association would like to remind everyone of the importance of being a responsible pet owner. By taking a few simple steps, we can ensure a harmonious environment for all residents and their furry friends.

Here are two key examples of responsible pet ownership:

  1. Clean Up After Your Pet
    • Always carry a bag or scoop when you walk your dog. Properly disposing of pet waste helps keep our community clean and reduces health hazards. Let’s all do our part to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of our shared spaces.
  1. Leash Your Pet in Public Areas
    • For the safety of both your pet and others, please ensure your pet is on a leash when in public areas. This helps prevent unexpected encounters with other animals or people and keeps everyone safe. Remember, not all residents may feel comfortable around pets, and leashing is a simple courtesy.

Additionally, if you notice any stray animals in the neighborhood, please report them to the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County animal control office at (901) 937-3900 to ensure their safety and well-being.

By following these guidelines, we can all contribute to a pet-friendly, safe, and welcoming community. Thank you for being considerate and responsible pet owners.
